About Us

Denny & Associates, Inc. is a family run Insurance Agency that operates in and around the Greater St. Louis area. Founded in 1982, Denny and Associates is a long-standing family business with three generations of insurance brokers. After 35 years, founder and president, Dennis T. Denny, handed over the title of president to his daughter, Kelly L. Rector.  Besides Dennis and Kelly, the team also includes her son and seven other team members that are made up of family and close friends. This is where their family values and commitment to exemplary customer service derives.


At Denny & Associates, Inc., our goal is to ensure that we are constantly staying informed of the changes in the insurance industry and to provide our clients with the most accurate and up-to-date information, so they are able to make the best possible decisions for themselves, their families, and their employees.

Our mission is to guide our clients of every shape and size through the complexity of the insurance industry by evaluating and choosing plans to protect themselves, their families, and their employees. Our Team

Kelly Rector
President / Benefits Consultant

Kelly is the owner and president of Denny & Associates, Inc.  She has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been a licensed broker since 1997.  Kelly is an Employee Benefits Consultant.  She specializes in group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and worksite benefits.  Her goal is to help employers create an employee benefits package to attract and retain quality employees. Kelly’s focus is on the small to mid-sized employer and keeping them informed and up to date on the changes of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  She makes it her priority to educate and inform all size businesses about  the rules and regulations of compliance and to share her knowledge in order to keep employers safe in the event of a DOL audit.  

Kelly also has a sub-specialty in the Individual Marketplace.  She assists individuals and families in choosing a plan that best suits their needs.  She stays abreast of the changes of the ACA and has been interviewed and quoted in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Associated Press, Kaiser Health News,  Washington Post, and NBC News.

She is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and previously sat on the board and is still actively involved in the St. Louis Association (SLAHU).

Dennis T. Denny
Vice President/Benefits Consultant 

Dennis is the Vice President of Denny & Associates, Inc. He was formerly the owner and president of the company until he recently retired and turned over the reins of the business to his daughter, Kelly.  Dennis has over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry.  He has spent most of his time as an Employee Benefits Specialist.  Although he is still engaged with some of his key accounts, he is now spending most of his time doing business on the golf course.

Kimberly D. Denny
Associate/Benefits Consultant 

Kim has been a licensed agent since 1988 specializing in Group Medical and Life insurance as well as Medicare. Kimberly is a member of the St. Louis Association of Health Underwriters as well as the O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries. Additionally, she previously served on the Board of MACE (Maturing Adults Continuing Education). Kimberly teaches "Understanding Your Medicare Options" at St. Charles Community College as a community service. Other charitable organizations Kimberly is involved in include Disabled Athlete Sports Association ("DASA") and St. Charles "Care to Learn." Being in the insurance industry before the inception of the Preferred Provider Organizations ("PPO") has afforded Kim a keen sense of understanding of the insurance industry. She has extensive experience with self-funding, and is dedicated to plan servicing and educating her clients on the many mechanisms to help control costs associated with insurance.

Lindsay Allen
Associate/Benefits Consultant 

Lindsay is a licensed insurance broker in the state of Missouri and has been in the insurance industry since 2009. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication with a Certificate in Advertising from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2009. Lindsay focuses on service, claims issues, and renewals, of the entire client base as well as office and marketing administration.

Dan Olander, CLU
Associate/Benefits Consultant 

Dan brings 42 years of experience in designing, implementing and servicing employer groups of all sizes related to their health, dental, disability and life insurance employee benefit planning. In addition, Dan works with businesses in designing and implementing life and disability income plans to fund buy-sell, key person, and executive benefit plans. Dan continues to work with individuals in helping design their personal life, disability income and long term care insurance planning. Dan received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1986 and has taught the Business Insurance course of the Life Underwriters Training Council in St. Louis. For five years he was the Employee Benefits Specialist for Mass Financial Group in St. Louis.

Donna Wesolowski
Associate/Benefits Consultant 

Donna joined Denny & Associates, Inc. in November 2011 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge of the insurance industry, specializing in employee benefits. Donna started in the insurance industry in 1980 where she worked for a national insurance carrier as a Senior Account Executive in marketing, handling new sales and renewal sales for the small to mid-size employer group. During this period of time, Donna developed extensive knowledge of the health insurance industry, which helped her with strategies and solutions to better assist clients and to provide them with the most appropriate employee benefits package. To ensure these outcomes, Donna has developed and maintains excellent relationships with insurance carriers, in order to ascertain the most cost effective plans with competitive pricing. 

In 1990, Donna became a licensed Health & Life insurance broker and worked as an Account Executive for another brokerage firm in Missouri for almost 10 years. Donna was responsible for managing a large book of business, with her primary focus on client retention. She worked closely with the small business owner as well as HR Managers and CFO's of larger corporations.

Colton Rector
Associate/Benefits Consultant 

Colton is following in his family's footsteps as a 3rd generation insurance broker. Son of the company's President and grandson of the Vice-President, Colton has been a licensed insurance agent with Denny & Associates since 2014. Colton specializes in in all things Medicare including Advantage Plans, Supplements, and Part D Plans. In addition to hosting his own educational events in the community, Colton often speaks at Medicare events hosted by other organizations in and around the St. Louis area. Colton also serves as an account manager for Denny & Associates and assists with the servicing of their many group clients. When he's not in the office Colton enjoys hiking, camping, and backpacking with his soon to be wife and their two big dogs.

Ron Pfadenhauer
Associate/Benefits Consultant 

Ron has been in the insurance business since 1977. He began his career with the Prudential Insurance Company as a life insurance agent. Early in his career he earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation through the Society of Financial Service Professionals.  Shortly after a successful beginning with Prudential, he expanded his services in assisting small to medium size businesses with their employee benefits planning. Ron is well versed in assisting business owners and individuals with any and all of their planning and insurance needs.

Barbara Goode
Associate/Benefits Consultant 

Barb has been in the Customer Service and Office Management field since 1981, working in a variety of industries including Public Warehousing, Life Insurance, Non-profit/fundraising, Education and Health Insurance. Barb also spends much of her time volunteering & fundraising for charitable organizations. Barb is a very technical person who is organized and detail oriented. She specializes in customer service, database management, social media management, fundraising, volunteer development, and office management. Her favorite things in life are family, friends and helping others through love, fun and laughter!
